Jackson died on June 25, 2009 of acute propofol intoxication after suffering cardiac arrest in his home. Murray, Jackson's personal physician, has been charged with administering the fatal dose. PHOTOS: Hollywood's Notable Deaths Murray's defense team claimed that Jackson had self-administered the propofol, and that the doctor neglected to call 911 immediately because he was attempting to aid the lifeless Jackson. As mentioned several times throughout the trial, Jackson died before he was even able to close his eyes. The trial has received continuous coverage on HLN, but failed to receive ratings on par with the highly publicized Casey Anthony trial earlier this year. The trial broadcast, which began on Sept. 27, caused controversy after multiple photos of Jackson's corpse surfaced on television and on the web. Among the most controversial images was a disturbing photo of Jackson's autopsy. Several networks cut into programming to air the verdict, including CNN and ABC. Following the reading of the verdict, Murray was remanded to custody without bail.
